Barrier Ward

Description
Barrier Wards are used on the battlefield to raise impenetrable Barriers around warriors. Their strange powers are drawn from the magic stones fastened to them, and the only way to break their Barriers is to shatter the stones.

Advantages/Disadvantages
After a unit is barriered ALL forms of attack are blocked except paralysis spells. This also includes the heal spell from Clerics, thus barriered units cannot be healed.
They cannot be damaged by physical attacks when they’re not in use (i.e. not barriering anything). However, if they do barrier any unit apart from itself, it will be vulnerable to physical attacks.
Just like the Lightning Ward, it cannot move.
(To cancel your own Barriers, just Move, Turn, or Attack with the unit under the Barrier.)
Formation
Barrier Wards are normally placed in either the back or the middle of the formation.
This is because of the barrier’s low hp and the fact that it cannot be moved.
When placed at the back of the formation, it is usually used to protect spell casters such as Clerics from Attacks, or to block physical movement or enemy units (since they cannot move though it).
When placed in the middle of the formation, it can be used both offensively and defensively to protect spell casters because of their long recovery times. This is especially useful for Enchantresses.
Tactics
Barrier Wards are used to prolong the life of attacking and/or weak units such as spell casters. When barriering attacking units, they can usually attack again and retreat back to the safety of the formation. They can also be used to barrier themselves so that nothing can hurt them, or other barriers so enemies have to take a few extra turns to break both their focuses.
A rarely used, and sometimes effective strategy is to barrier an ENEMY unit that is low in health but has no recovery time to wait for (i.e. the enemy was planning to heal the next turn). This forces the enemy to either move it, or to not use it. This will buy you one turn of recovery time and attack the barriered unit if it moves.
Against
Because of its low hp, Barrier Wards are very easy to destroy with Pyros and Witches. One can also move a knight close to it so ensure that it doesn’t barrier anything. This works because if it does barrier anything but itself, you can just hit it.
