Dragon Tyrant

Description

Dragon Tyrants are arrogant beasts, and though they can be tamed, they take a great deal of effort to keep under control always. Once airborne, these creatures move faster than the eye can see, devastating their enemies before they can react.

Advantages/Disadvantages

Dragon Tyrants are very powerful. In fact, they’re the second most powerful unit in the whole game (after Lightning Wards). Their attacks are unblockable. They can kill the Dark Magic Witch and Cleric in one hit. They can also kill Scouts in two hits and Knights in three hits whether if they’re healed by a Cleric once or not.
However, they do not step aside for friendly units to pass, they have a very long recovery time, and most importantly, they counts as two units on field.

Formation

The Dragon Tyrant can be places almost anywhere. However, they are normally placed near the front or middle to kill unprotected Witches and/or Clerics. The Dragon Tyrants has also been known to be used at the back of the formation for defensive purposes.

Tactics

Dragon Tyrants are usually used from afar to draw out the enemy. One can also use it to charge into enemy territory, but not without sufficient back up. Be careful when battling enemies that have Enchantresses and Frost Golems. Because of its long recovery time, it is best used along side units such as Knights and Beast Riders to protect it, or, one could always place an armor spell from the Stone Golem. Thus increasing it’s armor to 46%.
They are very good at taking out witches and clerics, killing both in one turn. Instead of attacking any unit on the first turn, fly it deep into the territory and wait. Then after it recovers after one turn, blast the cleric.
Using a Dragon Tyrant reduces your limit on the field to nine units, but it is also a slow unit. Try not to build your team to solely rely on a Dragon Tyrant.

Against

The Best way to kill a Dragon Tyrant is to freeze it with a Frost Golem or an Enchantress, then pound at it until it dies.
However, one can also try using powerful attacks from Knights and Witches. Four Witch attacks can kill a Dragon with one Cleric heal. However, it is unlikely that you can line up four Witches to attack a Dragon Tyrant.
2 Knights can also bring down a dragon very quickly
