Mud Golem

Description
Mud Golems can travel long distances at great speeds through the ground, surprising their enemy from behind. Whenever tremblings in the ground commence, it is already too late for their enemies to escape, and they can only prepare to be surrounded by Mud Golems.

Advantages/Disadvantages
The Mud Golem can teleport into the enemy formation, do damage, and move back out again. It’s teleportation skill also allows it to move behind units that are not next to a wall and deal 20 unblockable damage from the back of the unit.
However, it has no armor, no block %, and a relatively high recovery time. This means that healing this unit by healing spells takes a longer time, but it can also take more hits.
Formation
The Mud golem is normally placed at the back or middle of the formation or in the front behind a knight wall because of its lack or armor and blocking.
When placed at the front, the Mud Golem is used to launch attacks against weak units and then retreat back.
When placed at the middle or the back of the formations, the Mud Golem is used to protect other weak units such as spell casters by doing unblockable damage.
Tactics
As mentioned before, Mud Golems can be used to do quick attacks, and retreat. Just be careful not to go in too deep without sufficient support. However a Mud Golem can also do much more than that.
Because of its secondary attacks, it is a great focus breaker (i.e. to stop Frost Golems or Enchantresses that are behind other units). Their secondary attack also allows them to deal wide area damage, and thus kill more than one enemy in the same attack.
They can also be used as bait because of their fast movement range and the fact that they are well hated by the enemy.
A very effective tactic is to use a stoney to stone up the muddie. Send the muddie into a group of units and, with the aid of two clerics, heal every second turn and quake every first turn. This will in the end wittle down your opponents units health down so you can send in the mages to finish off the job
Against
There is no real trick in killing a Mud Golem, just attack it with the most powerful units you have. Any attacks over 20 can finish off a Golem in 3 attacks. If the enemy doesn’t heal the Golem and retreats, just shoot it with a scout.
Since the Mud Golem can teleport, there’s no use surrounding it.
Lastly, since it has no block %, it doesn’t matter which way you attack, it will receive the same amount of damage. Thus, don’t waste extra turns trying to get behind it.
