Dark Magic Witch

Description

    Dark Magic Witches were once mages that delved deep into the roots of Demonic power. They are now consumed by a lust for Dark knowledge, and have only begun to tap into its power. Many believe that the Witches themselves have become consumed by Dark Magic, and have long lost their souls to the Demons.

Advantages/Disadvantages

    Witches are one of the most used units and most popular units in the game. Their 4 square attack range and powerful attack means that they are a force to be reckoned with.
    However, like all mages, they have no armour and have low hp and as such can generally be killed in two hits by just about anything.

Formation

    Witches tend to be suited more to early game suicide attack runs when their formation is bunched up and you can hit multiple units at the same time. However they are also very useful end game and some skilled players will preserve them at the back of their formation so that they can be used late game to deal the neccessary damage to units left on the field.
    Witches tend to be able to create that critical first turn attack when they are on the flanks of your formation, ussually being able to severly wound those pesky scouts for your other units to finish it off.

Tactics

    Most of the time, witches in the first turn can take out the enemy cleric, crippling the enemy.
    Witches are a popular target for lightning wards, you can use this to your advantage by sacrificing your withc and moving your units through the lightning wards range while it is cooling down.
    Multiple witches are devastating to use, making mince meat of any unit. More than 4 witches on the field also ussually scares the opponent away.
    Witches are bested used with other combos, namely pyros. The witch combined with the pyro means that they can ussually kill and severly wound enemy units with ease.
    Witches are better used when they are standing still at first, allowing them to finish off that unit that ran away.
    A witch/barrier ward combo means that they witch will survive to make that second devestating attack

Against

    Knights are very good against witches, killing them in two hits regardless of healing.
    Lightning wards are also very good against them.
    Witches have very slow cool down periods like all mages and can be dealt with the same way
    A spread out form will generally make the witches attack not as effective, keeping your precious units alive and healthy
